If you’re a pet owner, then you already know the pros and cons of letting your furry friend sleep in the bedroom, but here’s one more point for the pros side! What’s the catch? While there are benefits to letting Fido sleep in the room with you, it’s still recommended that he be kept off the bed.
A recent study by the Mayo Clinic in a Sept. 12 article on Today.com found pet owners who had their pooch (just one) with them in the room slept better than those that did not. When the dog did sleep on the bed, the study found an increase in sleep disruption. If you are a pet owner, this probably comes as no surprise. After all, who wouldn’t want their pet with them longer, even if it is when you’re both asleep?
