21st Random Sleep Fact…Driving While Sleepy!

According to the results of National Sleep Foundation’s 2008 sleep in America poll, 36 percent of Americans drive drowsy or fall asleep while driving.

Sleeping while driving is a sure way to hurt yourself as well as others.  Sleepiness decreases your reaction time and your awareness.  When you are tired, your ability to react, concentrate, and make good driving decisions is impaired.  If you have trouble keeping your eyes open, keeping your head up, or you start drifting from lane to lane, you should definitely pull over.  Always try and avoid driving while fatigued.
